The Journal of Clinical Otolaryngology (JOCO) is an international, peer-reviewed journal that focuses on publishing top-notch scientific clinical and translational studies advancing the science and practice of otolaryngology-head and neck medicine. JOCO's mission is to bridge science and clinical practice by providing evidence-based information that contributes to enhanced diagnosis, treatment, surgical results and improved patient quality of life of all diseases involving the ear, nose, throat, head and neck.
JOCO seeks contributions in the form of original articles, systematic reviews, meta-analysis, clinical trials, case reports, technological developments, short communications, clinical images, and expert opinion in all subspecialties of otolaryngology. The journal particularly welcomes research related to otology, neurotology, rhinology, laryngology, head and neck oncology, pediatric otolaryngology, facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, sleep medicine, skull base diseases, allergy, audiology, vestibular disorders, and voice and swallowing disorders.
Considering the speedy evolution of the field, the journal encourages articles dealing with topics of artificial intelligence, diagnostic digitization, personalized medicine, molecular biomarkers, regenerative medicine, wearable technology, telemedicine, imaging computations, robot-assisted surgery, and clinical decision making based on data analysis. Research that will shed light on multidisciplinary medicine, patient-reported outcomes, healthcare quality, implementation science, and evidence-based clinical practice is highly encouraged to provide holistic treatment for patients.
By maintaining an open scientific discourse and conducting thorough peer reviews, the aim of Journal of Clinical Otolaryngology is to establish itself as a reliable source for clinicians, surgeons, researchers, speech and hearing scientists, and other allied healthcare specialists.
