Biography
Dr. Siyum Shewakena is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Forensic Science at Ethiopian Police University. He earned his Ph.D. in Membrane Nanotechnology from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (Taiwan Tech). He also holds M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in Applied Chemistry from Addis Ababa University and University of Gondar, respectively, as well as a postgraduate diploma in Police Science from Ethiopian Police University. He is an accomplished academic and researcher with 17 years of teaching experience. He has authored more than eight scholarly publications and has presented his research at fifteen international conferences. In recognition of his academic and research excellence, he received the 2023 CTCI Foundation Bursary Award. In addition to his teaching and research contributions, he serves as a reviewer for four prestigious international journals and is an editorial board member of Clinical Insight Reports: Journal of Global Medical Cases.
