Biography
Sherief Mahdy Hussein is an Assistant Professor and Consultant of Dermatology, Venereology, and Andrology at the National Research Centre, Cairo, Egypt. He obtained his M.D. in Dermatology and Venereology from Al-Azhar University and has over 22 years of clinical, academic, and research experience in dermatology and skin healthcare. Hussein specializes in the diagnosis and management of dermatological disorders, cosmetic dermatology, dermoscopy, laser procedures, PRP, botulinum toxin therapy, cryotherapy, electrocautery, and mesotherapy. Alongside his academic appointment, he serves as a consultant dermatologist at several specialized medical centers in Egypt. His research interests include vitiligo, atopic dermatitis, alopecia, psoriasis, dermatological immunology, and cosmetic dermatology. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in national and international journals and is an active member of several professional medical societies. Hussein is also involved in medical education, quality management, and public health awareness through television, radio, print media, and educational programs.
