Biography
Sandra Garcet is a Senior Research Associate at the Laboratory of Investigative Dermatology, Rockefeller University. She holds a PhD in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Salamanca, Spain, with research focused on optimal experimental designs in cardiovascular surgery. She also holds a Master’s degree in Statistics and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Havana, Cuba.
Her research experience spans biostatistics, clinical analysis, decision support systems, data mining and optimal experimental design in medical sciences. At Rockefeller University, she specializes in the statistical analysis of microarray, RNA-seq, proteomic data and blood and skin biomarkers, with expertise in mixed-effects models and gene enrichment analysis, particularly in dermatological and translational research.
