Biography
Dr. Rajiv D. Limbasiya, PT, is a Professor and Principal In-charge at The Sarvajanik College of Physiotherapy, Surat, where he has been serving since 2010. He completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy and Master of Physiotherapy (Rehabilitation) from Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, followed by a Ph.D. in Physiotherapy (Medical) from Gujarat University in 2019 and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Research Methodology (PGDRM) from Veer Narmad South Gujarat University in 2024. With over 17 years of teaching experience, he has contributed extensively to physiotherapy education, research, and academic administration. He is a recognized Ph.D. Supervising Teacher and Postgraduate Teacher under Veer Narmad South Gujarat University and has successfully guided 2 Ph.D. scholars, 22 postgraduate students, and more than seventeen internship research projects. His research contributions include 24 published papers in national and international journals, with research interests spanning rehabilitation, neurology, stroke, geriatric rehabilitation, musculoskeletal disorders, and physiotherapy education. He has delivered invited lectures, workshops, and keynote sessions at national and international conferences and has served as a reviewer, judge, and chairperson for scientific events. Limbasiya is a member of the Gujarat State Allied and Healthcare Council, Board of Studies, Board of Faculty, Institutional Ethics Committee, and Research Advisory Committee. His academic and professional contributions have been recognized through several honors, including the Inspiring Educational Hero Award (2025) and recognition for Exceptional Contribution in the Field of Disability Rehabilitation.
