Biography

Rafi Ul Shan is a Research Scholar with an interdisciplinary academic background in Psychology, Environmental Law & Policy, Journalism, and Political Science. He graduated in Psychology from Forman Christian College (A Chartered University), Lahore, and holds Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Law & Policy at the Health Services Academy, Islamabad. As a Research Associate, he contributes to interdisciplinary research in forensic psychology, behavioural science, psychometrics, artificial intelligence, mental health, public health, community resilience, environmental sustainability, governance, and evidence-based public policy. He is currently engaged in an interdisciplinary laboratory-based research at the Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology (ICET), University of the Punjab, investigating sustainable titanium beneficiation and resource governance. During his university years, he collaborated with public institutions and law enforcement agencies as an Intern and Liasion/ Ambassador with the Punjab Police (Office of the DIG Investigation), an Intern with Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistan Army, a Social Mobilizer with the Commissioner Office Lahore Division, and an Institutional Liaison through the Career Services & Internships Office, Forman Christian College. He served as President of the Young Peace & Development Corps (YPDC)—an initiative of the Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, Government of Pakistan—and later as the FCCU Focal Person and Institutional Liaison for the Ministry's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) initiatives. Rafi has co-authored peer-reviewed publications, served as a reviewer for international scholarly journals, and currently serves as District Admin of Volunteers Leading Governance (VLG) and a Nature Positive Universities Student Ambassador within the global sustainability network co-founded by the University of Oxford and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
