Biography
Dr. Muhammad Ali Abid is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Agriculture, Dera Ismail Khan (UAD), Pakistan. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Gomal University and has extensive experience in teaching, research, academic administration and institutional leadership. His research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Software Engineering, Requirements Engineering, Software Quality Assurance and Agile Software Development.
He has contributed to computing education and published research in national and international journals. Dr. Abid is actively involved in curriculum development, research supervision, institutional governance and initiatives promoting innovation in higher education. As Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence, he works to advance AI education, encourage cutting-edge research and strengthen industry–academia collaboration. His professional vision focuses on the practical application of emerging technologies to address real-world challenges, promote academic excellence and innovation and equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to become future technology leaders.
