Biography
Dr. Anelys Sanchez Lopez, MD, MSc, is a Board-Certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Specialist with over 20 years of medical experience and more than 10 years of specialized expertise in neurorehabilitation and musculoskeletal medicine. She currently serves as a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Specialist at Qatar Rehabilitation Institute, Hamad Medical Corporation and Doha, where she manages complex neurological and musculoskeletal conditions.
Her clinical expertise includes stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, spasticity management, chronic pain, radiculopathies, gait analysis, functional assessment, and advanced rehabilitation therapies. She has extensive international professional experience across Cuba, Venezuela, Guatemala, Montserrat, and Qatar.
Dr. Sanchez Lopez holds an MD, MSc in Physical Therapeutics and Rehabilitation Sciences, and specialist qualifications in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Comprehensive General Medicine. She has authored and co-authored research publications and is a member of professional societies in physical medicine, rehabilitation, and neurology.
