Biography
Dr. Amresh Gul is an experienced and compassionate General Practitioner providing evidence-based care to individuals and families across Townsville and North Queensland. He has advanced training in cardiology, lipidology, cardiometabolic medicine, musculoskeletal and sports medicine, chronic disease management, and healthcare leadership. His clinical practice encompasses cardiovascular health, hypertension, lipid disorders, cardiometabolic conditions, musculoskeletal injuries, children’s health, mental health, and women’s health.
Alongside his clinical practice, Dr. Gul is actively involved in medical research and academic activities. He contributes to scientific publications and serves on the Editorial Board of the Case Reports and Case Series in Cardiology Journal. He is also an Associate Editor and Peer Reviewer for Cureus, part of the Springer Nature Group. He is a member of several national and international professional organizations, including the American College of Cardiology, European Society of Cardiology, European Atherosclerosis Society, Australian Atherosclerosis Society, and Hypertension Australia. He has also undertaken postgraduate certification in rare lipid disorders and cardiometabolic medicine.
