Biography
Assoc. Prof., DVM, MSc, VPD, PhD, is affiliated with the University of Life Sciences “Ion Ionescu de la Brad” Iasi, Romania, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Public Health Department, with 33 years of teaching and research experience. He/She heads the Research and Teaching Units in Control of Products and Food of Animal Origin and Food Safety and holds a PhD in Technology and Veterinary Sanitary Expertise. The academic record includes 9 books, three indexed in the CABI Digital Library and Web of Science Core Collection, and 107 scientific works, including 70 indexed in international databases, with 47 as single author, first author, or scientific coordinator. A total of 53 papers have been published in internationally indexed journals, while 17 papers are indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection under Food Science and Technology and Veterinary Sciences, including 16 as single author. As a scientific coordinator, he/she has supervised 147 Veterinary Degree, Engineering Degree, and Dissertation theses and participated in 25 scientific research contracts and grants. Recognitions include EUROINVENT 2015 Silver Medal, two EUROINVENT 2016 Gold Medals, and Publons Top Reviewer Awards in 2018 and 2019. He/She is a member of 119 national, European, and international scientific and professional associations, has served in 147 editorial roles, including Editor, Associate Editor, Advisory Board Member, Editorial Advisory Panel, and Scientific Editorial Board member, and has acted as a national and international reviewer for 129 assignments.
