Biography
Dr. Arnel Bañaga Salgado is an Associate Professor at the University of Nizwa, Sultanate of Oman, with over 30 years of experience in psychology, behavioral health, mental health, psychiatric nursing, and nursing education. He has also served as a Full Professor of Psychology at RAK Medical and Health Sciences University, UAE, and as a Professorial Lecturer at Far Eastern University, Manila.
His multidisciplinary academic background includes advanced qualifications in nursing, education, school psychology, behavioral sciences, and clinical psychology. His research focuses on mental health, psychiatric nursing, behavioral sciences, and nursing education, with numerous scholarly publications, conference presentations, and research collaborations.
Dr. Salgado currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Nursing and is actively involved in mentoring graduate students, promoting evidence-based practice, and advancing healthcare education. He has been recognized among the Top Healthcare Professionals in the Middle East by The Filipino Times TFT Watchlist Awards in 2023 and 2024.
