Profile

Editorial Role

Anik Tuladhar serves as editor for Journal of Bone and Orthopedic Sciences.

Biography

Anik Tuladhar, PhD, is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Investigative Toxicology and Pathology at AbbVie, where he focuses on developing and applying multidisciplinary approaches to evaluate drug-induced toxicity and disease mechanisms. He earned his PhD in Biomedical Sciences, with a focus on Cell Biology and Anatomy, from Augusta University. His research experience spans bone biology, musculoskeletal disease, toxicology, imaging, histopathology, molecular biology, and translational research. He currently works centers on developing preclinical tools for evaluating bone toxicity and disruption of bone remodeling. His research integrates complementary approaches, including DXA, microCT, histology, serum biomarkers of bone turnover, and in vitro cellular models, to characterize changes in bone structure and function. He has also contributed to the optimization of tissue processing and imaging methodologies for preclinical studies. In addition to his research, he has extensive experience in scientific writing, data interpretation, literature review, manuscript preparation, and scientific communication. He has authored and coauthored peer reviewed publications, abstracts, and scientific presentations and has presented his research at national and international conferences, including ASBMR and ORS. He is also actively involved in professional service, mentoring, peer review, and career development initiatives within the toxicology and musculoskeletal research communities.
